In fact, Olympics games began in the year 776 BC, when Koroibos a cook from the nearby city of Elis won the stadium race a foot race 600 feet long. According to some legendary traditions this was the only athletic event of the game for the first 13 Olympic festivals. The decathlon includes ten events in the order: long jump, shot put, high jump, 400m 110m hurdles, discus throw, pole vault, javelin, 1500m etc. Athletics provides athletes with more than a few benefits including the attainment of priceless life skills that will benefit them through their life. These skills are more beneficial than the games themselves, and their impact can be powerful and transcending.
